Peel Group Practice is looking for a

Practice Nurse

Full-time, permanent position

Could you offer something different with your portfolio of skills? An opportunity for an experienced nurse has arisen to join our team in this beautiful seaside town on the west coast of the Isle of Man.

We have a list of just over 9200 patients and work from smart, purpose-built premises. We have excellent medical administration staff, a community health team on site, and the working environment is friendly and supportive. We are high QOF achievers, have an in-house pharmacy technician and we are proud to be a training practice.

This is an additional role within the practice and there is the opportunity to develop your own clinical interests, particularly within chronic disease management. You will have continuous support from GP Partners and the Management Team to enhance this role and your skills.

Delivering exceptional standards of quality care is integral to this role, as well as the ability to embrace the challenges of the changing and growing demands of the primary care setting. If you are highly motivated, enthusiastic and passionate about delivering high-quality integrated care to our community, then this could be the place for you!

Preferably, you will be skilled in all areas of nursing: we would like to find an experienced nurse to provide cervical cytology; adult and childhood immunisations; contraception, including depo injections; wound care; dressings; new patient medicals; assistance with minor surgical procedures; health promotion; travel health; and other core nursing competencies.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, organisational and IT skills, and above all be a caring team player. Experience of using EMIS would be advantageous, but training would be given if necessary.

Applicants for the position should have a proven track record in their area and the relevant qualifications. The hours required will be negotiable for the right person with the desired skill mix.

For a job description, an informal visit or a chat, please email peelmgt@gov.im or call 686968.
