District Nursing Services

The district nurses provide nursing care and advice to people who find it difficult to get out of in their own homes and who live in residential homes.

They accept referrals for patients aged 16 and over, for a range of conditions including

  • Chronic illnesses such as diabetes, stroke and heart and lung disease
  • Degenerative diseases such as arthritis
  • Cancer care
  • Wound and ulcer care

They will also provide advice and education on many aspects of looking after your condition.

The service also includes advice and help for carers and family members.

They are available from 08:30 – 17:00, 7 days a week, 365 days a year
